Òscar Ordeig visits the company’s facilities to gain first-hand knowledge of its activities, future projects and commitment to the Catalan agri-food sector
Olèrdola, 28 July. La Granja Foods welcomed yesterday the institutional visit of Òscar Ordeig, Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Government of Catalonia, accompanied by Rosa Cubel, Secretary General for Food at the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food; Lluís Valls, Delegate of the Government of Catalonia in the Penedès region; Irene Mercader, Director of the Territorial Services in Penedès of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food; Jordi Àlvarez, Mayor of Olèrdola; and Francisco Romero, Mayor of Vilafranca del Penedès.
The visit began with a meeting at La Granja Foods’ headquarters, where the management team presented the company’s history, evolution and the main strategic projects driving its growth. The presentation also addressed the challenges and opportunities facing the agri-food sector, as well as the company’s commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability.
The institutional delegation then visited the production plant, where they had the opportunity to learn about the manufacturing processes, quality and food safety standards, as well as the investments and initiatives that La Granja Foods is developing to further strengthen its competitiveness and production capacity.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the main challenges facing the agri-food sector and to highlight the role of companies in the region in generating employment, fostering innovation and contributing to Catalonia’s economic development.
