Gluten-free and lactose-free cocoa sponge cake with chocolate chips. From day one, making products to the best of our knowledge and ensuring great taste has been an essential value for us. This was the case with the first traditional specialties that made us known and has continued to be so throughout our history, as we continually incorporate new products into our range.

Our constant advance to the needs and desires of consumers has made us a benchmark for quality and innovation in our food products sector. In the 1980s, La Granja was a pioneer in creating specialties to meet different dietary needs, which today form part of our Diet range. Later we launched the Bio range, which uses only ingredients from organic farming. This was followed by the Vegan range for strictly vegan consumption and the separate production of the Gluten Free range.

In 1954 our grandparents had a grocery store next to their small chicken farm. They sold eggs as well as groceries of all kinds to the neighborhood.

Once the store ran out of muffins, one of their most popular products. To please her customers, our grandmother decided to bake her own muffin recipe in her home kitchen.

Their enormous success surprised everyone, as they sold more and more. From there, La Granja was born and we always keep in mind: work hard and do your best to satisfy your customers.

Gluten and Lactose free Range

In the products of this new range we only use ingredients free of gluten, lactose and corn. We ensure its non-contamination throughout the process, from a separate production from the rest. This product has the seal of La Espiga Barrada and license number ES-055-004, certified by FACE (Federación de Asociaciones de Celiacs de España) which belongs to the AOECS (Association of Celiac Societies of Europe).

All our products from the gluten-free line contain less than 20 ppm of gluten, a parameter that current regulations establish as a limit for a food to be suitable and safe for celiacs and gluten intolerants.

Without a doubt, it has been quite a challenge to bring this project forward, but the motivation has always been to be able to reach all consumers and that there is no difference in texture, flavor and sponginess between the traditional line and the gluten-free line. The main objective of La Granja being that the gluten-free line is a product for the whole family, regardless of whether or not they suffer from gluten or lactose intolerance.

We have the IFS 24 certificate with a High Level result, and it has been 10 consecutive years obtaining the IFS certification annually.

INGREDIENTS: EGG, high-oleic sunflower seed oil, raw brown cane sugar, potato starch, humectants (glycerin and sorbitol), tapioca starch, rice flour, chocolate chips (7%) [sugar, cocoa paste, cocoa butter, emulgent (lecitin of SOY) and vainilla aroma], skimmed powder cocao, raising agent (disodium diphosphate, sodium bicarbonate), glucose and fructose syrup, plant fibres (citrus, peas, potato, psyllium, alga plant fibres),powdered psyllium husk, preservative (sorbic acid), acidity corrector), emulgent (xantan gum), natural aroma with lemon zest, aroma and salt.

May contain traces of NUTS and SESAME SEED.
