Who is Maria Prats?

“I was born on January 26, 2000 in the city of Barcelona. I lived in the Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu until I was 8 months old, and then, until I was 6 years old, I went back and forth, so I never went to kindergarten! The main challenge in my life has been my health. I grew up with a lot of pain due to a trauma that led to many complications and surgeries. Now I live with refractory epilepsy which makes it difficult for me to keep up with daily life. I am an optimist and I am always happy and in a good mood; I am very lucky to be able to do what I like the most.

We all have the ability to overcome our obstacles and challenges to achieve our heart's dreams, despite having functional diversity.

Each one of us can be a star in our life, if we believe we can. With painting and design, I can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary; that is my gift to the world, to share the magic of colors and my joie de vivre in every design I make.

I am often told that my designs are inspiring, joyful and fun; I use vivid colors, and my work has a vibrant and fresh tone.

“May 16, 2024 marked the beginning of a dream that today is a reality: the creation of the Maria Prats Rosich Foundation, an organization born with a clear and deeply human purpose. We are dedicated to promoting the social and economic inclusion of people with functional diversity, convinced that each individual has a unique value and immense potential.

Our foundation’s mission is to promote projects that allow the social and labor integration and personal development of these people, through cooperative and social initiatives that respect and enhance their capabilities.

The Maria Prats Rosich Foundation works to make this cause visible through the creation of events and activities that not only raise awareness in society, but also mobilize the community towards real change.

We are not alone on this path. We collaborate with other associations and organizations that share our vision of a more equitable world, where every person has a place and a voice.
