The history of Torrons i Mel Alemany begins at the end of the 19th century, when Mrs. Mundeta made a candy with local honey and nuts. Given that the Montsec is a rough and difficult terrain for cultivation, this activity was a good alternative.

The distinguishing feature of Alemany nougat is due to a 19th century recipe that gives the paste a characteristic white color. Slow cooking, local nuts and carefully selected rosemary honey are part of the secret that gives the nougat its particular flavor.

INGREDIENTS: Marcona almonds 50%, sugar, rosemary honey 7%, raising agent (sodium bicarbonate).
