La Granja Foods and Social Responsibility
Since its beginnings, La Granja has been especially aware and committed to the integration of people with functional diversity.
For this reason, we collaborate with organizations dedicated to supporting people with disabilities or special needs.
La Granja has been working with the Fundació L’Espiga de Vilafranca del Penedès since its establishment in 1991. This local organization aims to promote assistance, education, and both general and specialized training, as well as any activity that fosters the social inclusion of people with disabilities. Additionally, La Granja regularly cooperates with the Fundació Pro-Penedès, which focuses on the social and economic development of the region. Among other initiatives, it carries out employment integration programs for individuals with physical, psychological, or sensory disabilities and those at risk of social exclusion.
Another way La Granja contributes is through its collaboration with the cooperative group of social enterprises Entrem-hi, specifically in the “Junts Trenquem el Cercle!” (“Together We Break the Circle!”) program. Supported by Obra Social La Caixa and funded by contributions from a network of socially responsible companies committed to training, this initiative promotes internships and employment opportunities for individuals at risk of exclusion. La Granja is among the companies actively involved in this effort.
